Cleaning up those double notices

Hi,  thanks to the recent survey (I hope you filled out; if not here’s the link ), I decided to do something about those annoying double notifications you are probably receiving.  If you aren’t, you needn’t bother with the rest of this note.  But, if you are and you’d like it to stop (who wouldn’t?) here’s how to do it.

The one arriving at 2 am (EST) is the old Jetpack system and the one I want to stop.  (I can’t just turn off Jetpack, because it provides me a few other services I like)

Simply, only you can delete yourself from the Jetpack system.  You can do it right now.  Way down at the bottom is that “unsubscribe” link.  Small print.  Make sure you DO NOT unsubscribe from the notification that’ll go out tomorrow morning at 3 a.m.  That’ll be the Mail Chimp notification; the one we want.
I’m sorry for the annoyance.  Really.  No one likes to be annoyed.
If you wind up not getting any notifications next week, pullleeeeesse let me know.  I don’t want to lose any of my subscribers.  You are like gold to me.
Next, I’ll work on that annoying “subscribe to my blog” pop up.

Thanks, Janet. I’m having a website re-do going on and I feel wary about losing important info and most importantly – subscribers.

    I’m all ears!

Hey Marian, I still see you listed as a subscriber via WP.com Did you get two notifications this morning?

Yes, but I loathe to tinker with anything because as I mentioned before I’m in a website over-haul.

Yes. It is the email notification that you want to stop getting. But, please not the later one. Only the one that shows up in your inbox at 2 am (ish) EST.

    Fingers crossed.
